Hạ Long Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and a popular travel destination, in Vietnam. The bay features limestone karsts and close to 2000 islets.
Apart from its natural beauty, the bay is also said to be home to unique flora and fauna not found anywhere else in the planet. Ha Long is also home to one of the earliest known human settlements. Historians date the first settlements in the region to over 10,000 years ago.
